This is a well and truly delightful vessel, the 12 Meter (39ft) Aft Cabin Broom Monarch , Built during 1980's, these models had various layouts with a total of only 28 built and this one is number 16 which was built in 1988. A large island berth in the aft cabin with two large single berths to the fore cabin. Twin Volvo 305hp engines complements this impressive vessel which gives a good fuel return and excellent sea keeping along with comfort to a high standard that you expect from a Broom. This vessel will make a fantastic live aboard or for great cruising over long periods.
The owners have dearly loved this boat for over 12 years with much expense and many fond memories and voyages have been undertaken throughout their ownership.(there's a clip on You Tube of a recent voyage to London)

Once you've stepped aboard you enter the boat via a spiral staircase from the aft upper deck. Below this is the very spacious aft cabin with its large island double berth. In this cabin there is a separate shower cabin and also the heads. Dressing table along with a massive amount of hanging lockers and stowage compliments this with windows that produce a good light. Moving forward the saloon has a large entertaining area with a large leather fabric settee , Free standing dinning table, Sideboard with a drinks cabinet, free standing chairs and again good size lockers and cupboards. There is a bespoke breakfast bar above the galley. Moving down to the galley on the port side which is well equipped there is, Microwave, Double oven & Grill, 4 ring hob, (2 x gas & 2 x electrical) , a good size refrigerator and two sinks one of which is a recessed draining board, added to all of this is a generous work top areas. Starboard side there's the heads of which can be accessed via the forward cabin or for day usage from the galley area. In the heads there's a good size shower. Fore cabin has two large size berths along with ample stowage. All the cabins are heated by the warm air system.
A well presented Broom Monarch that has had many upgrades and is in a top condition throughout. Very good access to all deck areas including a expensive bespoke stern boarding ladder plus a side boarding ladder. There are two side chain gated access to either side for ease of mooring. A large social /entertaining area on the aft deck with seating for 6 - 8 people in comfort under a bespoke recent quality canopy . The helm seat has a duel purpose in that it can face aft or be converted into a table. There's a side moulded built in seat on the starboard side plus ample stowage for warps and fenders in the lockers. Excellent all round vision from the central helm position. The Radar and windscreens can be lowered easily, assisted by gas struts for navigating the low bridges and especially the European waterways network. Quality woodwork and quality fittings throughout.
This is a well equipped vessel geared up for spacious living and usage. Holding tanks, Large water tanks, Screen covers, Eberspatcher D5 warm heating system for all year round usage. Recent upholstery and quality carpets throughout, Soap dispensers in the heads, Battery charger , engine room heaters and the list goes on ...
A good navigation equipment is installed, Garman Plotter (3 years old) DSC Vhf Radio. Garman Radar, Auto pilot Cetrex, Emergency tiller, Depth gauge, Speed Gauge all recent.
These engines are maintained to a high standard and serviced regular by a marine engineer. Volvo TAMD 61A 306hp with low engine hours for her age at 1887. Recent new crank batteries. A powerful 10kw bowthruster. Both propellers were professional overhauled and rope cutters installed within the last couple of years. New stern glands and cutlass bearings were replaced during 2018. The hydraulic steering system was fully overhauled along with new throttle cables 2017. A good fuel returning engines with a capable top speed of 23+ knots but realistic, a good and comfortable cruising speed at 12 - 14 knots.
Also a recent large carlorifier installed plus the water pump. Shore power and plenty of 13 amp sockets.
